How to use Teleprompter Online
Get a smoother take in a couple of minutes.
- 1
Open the prompter
Go to teleprompteronline.net. No login, no install. You're already on the prompter page.
- 2
Paste your script
Copy text from any document — Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Notion, plain text — and paste it into the script area.
- 3
Choose your speed and font
Use the speed slider to match your natural pace. Pick a font size that feels comfortable from a reading distance.
- 4
Turn on mirror mode if needed
If you use a glass teleprompter rig, flip the text horizontally so it reads correctly through the reflection.
- 5
Go fullscreen
Tap the fullscreen button for a distraction-free view. On mobile, the prompter will switch to landscape if your device supports it.
- 6
Press play and record
Hit Play (or the Space bar) and start your recording. Use arrow keys or the on-screen slider to nudge speed mid-read.
Tips for a great take
- •Do a short rehearsal to find your ideal speed before recording.
- •Keep a comfortable distance between your eyes and the screen — around an arm's length for phones.
- •If you're filming with an external camera, place the phone or tablet as close to the lens as possible to preserve eye contact.
- •Break long paragraphs into shorter lines. Scripts scroll better when each line is readable in one glance.
- •Save your common intros and outros as named scripts to reuse later.
